Understanding Tapered Roof Design
Tapered roof designs will transform a flat roof with ponding water into a roof design with drainage built into the insulation system. Removal of ponding water will greatly enhance the long term installed value of the roof system. Many manufacturer warranty’s will exclude ponding water locations. These tapered systems are designed by engineers through our tapered insulation vendors. Once designed, a print of your roof will be rendered showing the new Tapered insulation layout. Midwest Roofing Services uses two different types of insulation for this process. One process uses Polyisocyanurate insulation and the other uses Expanded Poly Styrene insulation. Our team will develop the right drainage system as an integral part of your roof package.
